Newsletter June 2025: Gig this Saturday at CCRMA and Online

Hi Friends, It has been a very transit-heavy time, with lots of fun things going on. Upcoming: I’m at CCRMA, where along with Luna Valentin and Celeste Betancur I’m making a work entitled threefold, bringing our practices together in a work that uses virtual acoustics, gesture, AI and ALL SORTS OF BITS! We have things ...and maybe ourselves?? hanging from the ceiling and I can't wait to play the floors not on the ground. We’re performing on Saturday 21 June at 7:30pm PST. We’d love to see you there in person or online on the livestream (link here - it will be updated to our gig on the day (: ) Recent: I was so delighted to play at Miscellania for an Omniversal Hum x Kerfew show on 7 June. It had been quite some time since I’d played a solo floors set, and it was a delight to come back to it with all the new sounds I’ve been using, in a club space (which I loved being in), with a big sound! So much beautiful feedback to play with, and such a lovely night. The new connector box for the floors and the computer has hold buttons, which I've been loving using in live contexts. At Miscellania, it was a whole new dimension to play with Ongoing: After releasing Two Sequences recently, which was my first release of music that I’ve put together, rather than made to be performed through start to finish, I’ve become newly interested in using ‘taped’ sequences and am now thinking…well what if you put the approach in Ocean, Again together with that of Two Sequences? I don’t have more on that yet, but if you have thoughts, vibes, things you have enjoyed about working that way or listening that way, I’d love to hear from you. With love, |

Hello Friends! I’ve loved drawing for a long time, and watercolours too.
